Recipes and complete formulas to support stress responses in joints, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and muscles while horses recover from injuries. Lay-up and stall time puts a different challenge to both the musculoskeletal and the gastrointestinal systems.

POST INJURY REPAIR

Compensations:

Challenges to the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and even fascia) will affect or even change how your horse rests, or moves. Long term stall rest can create postural changes - the way your horse stands in order to be comfortable. If left that way - it can create a different movement pattern in the future. It's actually the core of this "Body Lameness" that I talk with my clients about. We find it and we fix it.

What if you could head a lot of those problems off while the horse is repairing the damages caused by injuries?

Another challenge to your horse while recovering is often a change in the GI system; they go off feed or have other problems related to stress. Nervous behaviors in the stall are part of the problems that affects the gut - ulcers, intermittent colics, lethargy, and a host of other things can be a problem that will affect the overall health of the horse.

The first thing that we want to do is to make the horse as comfortable as possible. That means that we want to address pain and inflammation in the whole body. Two things that can help that naturally are:

ANTIFLAM™ - used internally it can help reduce bodywide inflammation

TETDA - this is used externally to help with swelling, bruising, and sore feet

The other thing we want to be mindful about is the soft tissues of the body that support and protect the joints so that we can have full range of motion for movement. My favorite recommendation for this is:

SINEW-X + HA™ - used to support the joint functions and all soft tissue (muscles, tendons, and ligaments) integrity

The last thing we want to deal with while we have an injury is GI distress. It's something we don't usually think about until it's a problem. I tend to think of this last product as the "magic juice". My go-to when dealing with any problem affecting the gut is this:

REGENEREQ™ - it supports long term stomach health and will stimulate the appetite
